Desk is now the main caseload surface

Desk now combines each user’s action queue with the visible active case book. Attorney judgment, signatures, and interrupts appear above the All cases table, and the table shows each matter’s state, deadline, and who it waits on. Retired Cases and beta workspace routes redirect back to Desk while case detail routes stay case-bound.

Case pages use stage-based workspace views

The case page now opens to the work surface that matches the case’s current stage. Prospective cases show the take, decline, or follow-up decision; opening cases show engagement and signing readiness; awaiting-file and workup-ready cases show C-file, condition, evidence, and review context beside Resources and Details.

Opening signing packets are case-bound

Engagement opening can now create one token-protected signing link for the engagement packet, fee agreement, and VA Form 21-22a. The signing page shows electronic-record consent language before signature, records the accepted consent version in the case-bound audit trail, and stores the signed packet in Resources for firm review. Email/SMS sending and VA filing remain manual.
